The people behind the design

A finished project is never just about the final images of the space.

It’s about the people, the process and the decisions that bring it all together.

For A Sculpted Gathering, we wanted to create more than just beautiful room photography. We wanted images that captured the team behind the design, the people who spent months developing ideas, selecting materials, solving problems, and bringing every detail to life.

Working with the lovely Toni Larsen, we created a collection of images that allow us to share this project in different ways. From showcasing the design details, to sharing the materials and samples that influenced the spaces, to introducing the designers behind the decisions.

Creating this type of content is important because it allows you to see more than just the finished result. It gives an insight into the thought, creativity and collaboration that happens long before the final photo is taken.

And while the finished images may look effortless… there’s always a little bit of organised chaos happening behind the camera. Wardrobe changes, snuggling a baby Hazel, moving styling pieces around (then moving them again), adjusting the smallest details and chasing that perfect shot.

A little prep beforehand with the talented @makeupwithmykaela, then it was into a day of creating, styling, laughing and capturing the people behind A Sculpted Gathering.

Because great design isn’t created by one person; it’s shaped by a team, a process and thousands of little decisions along the way.
