A studio built on collaboration, craft & care
Emma Brown Design was founded on a simple belief: that great design should be accessible, integrated and deeply personal. We work with residential and light commercial clients across Palmerston North and the Manawatu region and increasingly, throughout New Zealand.
What sets us apart is our fully integrated approach. Architectural design, interior design and construction project management all sit under one roof. That means your project has a single vision, a single point of contact, and none of the costly miscommunication that happens when multiple studios and contractors try to work together.
We operate in the mid-range of budget delivering bespoke, considered spaces that feel luxurious without the price tag of large city firms. Every project, regardless of scale, receives the same level of care, creativity and precision.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Emma leads the studio with a focus on considered, curated design that responds to each client's lifestyle and aspirations. Her integrated vision across all disciplines is what defines the EBD difference.
SARAH CHEETHAM
LEAD ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER | LBP | ADNZ
Sarah holds an LBP Design 2 license and Professional ADNZ membership. She manages all architectural documentation, council consent processes and territorial authority negotiations.
KIRK BROUGH
PROJECT MANAGER | CONSTRUCTION
With 25+ years in the construction industry, Kirk manages all build-phase coordination. From trade scheduling and budgets to site oversight and client communication throughout the build.
HANNAH THOMAS
SPATIAL DESIGNER | ADNZ
Hannah brings precision and creativity to every spatial design challenge, specialising in 3D modelling, interior layouts and the translation of concept into detailed working drawings.
SAMUEL WHITBURN
ARCHITECTURAL & INTERIOR DESIGNER | ADNZ
With 7 years experience across commercial, workplace and residential environments Sam is an adaptable designer with an eye for detail to bring your dream to life.

Michelle keeps the studio running seamlessly. Managing schedules, client communications, supplier relationships and the day-to-day logistics that allow the rest of the team to focus on design.
